One other difference is that a Financial Advisor is more of a salesperson. You should have a good personality and enjoy working with people. An analyst is more numbers oriented and good with that aspect. Something you may consider is getting an internship in your area of interest. I interned at Morgan Stanley when I was in college and learned from that that I didn't want to be a Financial Advisor. But doing that can help you get a better idea of which career path may be the better fit for you. The good thing is that since both are somewhat related (finance industry), experience that you gain in either field will help advance your career in the other field, should you decide to switch down the road.
